Postby BadMoon » Sat Sep 06, 2014 8:45 am

Group Build– "Command Group"

Genre
20th Century Vietnam Conflicts.

Build Theme
The theme of this current build is Command Group.

Build Criteria
All Forum members (inc. admins) are eligible for entry.
All entries must consist of NEW figures/models.
The minimum number of figures is FOUR(4) and/or One(1) or more suitable command vehicles.
Basing of the models/figures is down to personal preference and/or stipulations of your preferred set of rules.
Scale of models/figures is left to your personal preference.
You must have made and/or painted your entry yourself.
Only ONE(1) entry per person.
The entry must be finished to go forward to the vote.

You must stick to the theme of the Group Build, if in doubt check with an Build Admin before spending months on a model. If you are unsure please PM the Admin who is coordinating the build (BadMoon). Entries that do not fit the theme of the Group Build will be removed.

Pictures of completed entries should be posted in the correct board of the Group build, not in any other forum gallery.
All entries should be identified as to the manufacturer of the models/figures in the entry. If unknown, then include statement to that affect.

Voting
Voting will take place once the closing date is reached for a period of one week.
All Forum members are eligible to vote regardless of whether they took part in the build or not.

Group Build Timeframe
This build will run for a period of 10 weeks to allow as many Forum members as possible, as much time as possible, to enter.
The closing date deadline will be Saturday November 15th at midnight CST(US).
Hope you got your things together, hope you are quite prepared to die, looks like we're in for nasty weather, one eye is taken for an eye.

would it be a good idea to post a photo of the figures/models before they're painted ... a start / finish concept ???

Start/finish photos are fine, along with/and/or a few work in progress photos for those who want to do so. Not a requirement of the build, but an option for those who are so inclined.

I'm starting to think a forum of it's own would be better for the build. Then we could have the "rules" for this build as an announcement sticky at the top, and each participant can post his/her own thread with pics of WIPs, etc. Whatta ya think? :coffee

Yes please, a separate area works best. WIP shots can go in the Motorpool and finished work posted up in its Group Build category. That way if the idea takes off, it won't make voting extra complicated.

I was thinking WIP shots can go in their owner's perspective threads while the build is on. Then moved to the Motor Pool when the build is over.

Nice! Have 4 concepts in mind already. Now to see if what I have can fit, and if not what I can dig up!

Intel Officer: "NVA or VC?"
Grunt Sgt: "Monkeys. And they didn't say what side they were on."

I'm the opposite. Found the figures in the lead pile I want to use but I don't have the concept yet. :really

At the moment I'm procrastinating.... :really I only have maybe two options in my stash......so unless I buy more toys(which I'm considering), my choices are limited.
