What's up with Flashpoint?

Postby werwulf on Tue Oct 27, 2009 10:31 am

Anyone have any news on what's up with Flashpoint Mini's? I know a new bunch took over but I haven't heard anything since. I tried out the new website but the order toggle doesn't work and I don't see any of the Flashpoint line on the Siege Works Studios site.

Wulf,

We are here and working hard. We have taken down our oon-line shop for two reasons. First, it is getting a revamp and second we agreed with our re-sellers not to sell on-line for a period, which is soon coming to an end, to give them a chance to get our products in to the market place.

Since you appear to be in Canada you can currently get our product from:

Miniatures of Chesapeake and Noble Knight games, both stores just got a lot of product in store. There is a shipment on its way to Mark at ScaleCreep as well so he will have it available very soon and is taking pre-orders now I believe.

While Siege Works Studios is the "owner" of Flashpoint Miniatures we are running the FP product lines just from the FP site.

Is there anything else or something specific that I didn't cover above that I can assist you with?
TEC.

Hi Wulf:

I have the range listed on my web site with product due here in a few days.

I also have a small amount of stock of the old packages. I still need to update the catalog so you can tell old from new packages. But if it's in stock right now, it's the old package.

TEC, are you guys behind the exciting cover for the December Wargames Illustrated? That the FOW people are hyping up, or not? I feel like your figures are really awesome, and wish to seriously sink my teeth into FP, but would like to make sure I know who is who.
thanks!

We are not behind the exciting cover but we have been working closely with WI & BF in regards to the issue. Siege Works Studios from Australia owns Flashpoint Miniatures and we are a totally independent company to BF/FoW who are based in NZ. The only connection is the prior owner of FP was also a Kiwi. Siege Works Studios is also the owners/developers of the Koenig Krieg Seven Years War rules and accessories (http://www.koenigkrieg.com/)

As mentioned in another thread we do have a full page colour advertisement in the Dec WI magazine and there should be a review of our Vietnam range as well.

This should then marry in well with the new and old re-sellers who have re-stocked our range in their shops and also the re-launching of our own on-line shop where we will have some items like the new watch towers for sale that the shops won't be re-selling, well not in the short term due to some licensing issues.

It will be exciting as it will bring Vietnam company(+/-) size gaming into the spotlight and Vietnam gaming generically so it should help the entire gambit of Vietnam era games and miniature ranges.
TEC.

Well, once i make the transition, I will take photos and post them for people to look at. Again, once the transition has been made, I got a lot of stuff, and I may start crying and decide not to let it go.....ah, the emotional business of wargaming!

NEVER give up your toys!

You may exchange them, but even that may lead to regrets.

I think that after hearing of Chris' predicament, I may have to rethink the whole "get rid of my 20's" thought! I may still get rid of some of the less liked stuff, but we will see......thanks guys!

Watchtower, i'm mainly a 28s man of old, but swinging more towards the 20mm stuff now, if i could get hold of the old Qualiticast stuff it would certainly make my mind up for me.
